Everybody is doing it, so why shouldn’t I?
Half the students around the world are using ChatGPT to write their essays, and probably more than half of marketing professionals are using it to write their presentations (although in the interests of full disclosure I don’t have any proof whatsoever for that!).
So I decided for this month blog I’d shift the heavy lifting onto Microsoft’s latest purchase and see how ChatGPT could help lighten the load.
But first of all, I needed to decide on what I was going to ask it, and since we’re a live-event medical education company I figured that was a good place to start. So, the first question… “which continuing medical education conferences in medicine are the best?”
I had high hopes, but the response was slightly disappointing. I’ll edit the details but this is what it gave me:
There are many Continuing Medical Education (CME) conferences in medicine, and the “best” conference will depend on your specific area of interest and specialization. Here are a few examples of highly-regarded CME conferences in different areas of medicine
American College of Physicians (ACP) Internal Medicine Meeting: This annual conference is one of the largest gatherings of internal medicine professionals in the world, and covers a wide range of topics related to general internal medicine, subspecialties, and practice management.
American Academy of Dermatology (AAD) Annual Meeting: This conference is focused on dermatology and covers topics such as skin cancer, psoriasis, and eczema. Attendees can participate in hands-on workshops, hear from renowned experts, and network with peers.
American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) Annual Meeting: This conference is focused on the latest developments in cancer research and treatment. Attendees can participate in educational sessions, hear from leading experts, and learn about the latest advances in oncology.
American Psychiatric Association (APA) Annual Meeting: This conference covers a wide range of topics related to psychiatry and mental health, including new research and treatment approaches. Attendees can participate in workshops, hear from renowned speakers, and network with peers.
American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) National Conference: This conference is designed for nurse practitioners and covers a wide range of topics related to primary care and specialty areas. Attendees can participate in educational sessions, hear from leading experts, and network with colleagues.
Apparently, there’s nothing worth seeing outside of the US.
The truth is out there.
I decided to narrow things down a bit and asked “which Continuing Medical Education (CME) conferences in medicine in the UK are best?”
It told me… “There are several high-quality Continuing Medical Education (CME) conferences in medicine held in the UK each year. The following are some examples of popular CME conferences:
The Royal College of Physicians (RCP) Annual Conference.
British Medical Association (BMA) Annual Conference.
Royal College of General Practitioners (RCGP) Annual Conference.
Association of Anaesthetists (AoA) Annual Congress.
The British Society for Rheumatology (BSR) Annual Conference.
Which wasn’t really what I was after either. Well done to the RCP though.
There was only one thing for it, I got straight to the point.
